USCIS Receives 23,500 H-1B Cap Petitions
The USCIS has recently updated the count of H-1B visa petitions received and counted towards the H-1B cap for the fiscal year 2011 employment.
As of June 25, 2010, USCIS has received approximately 23,500 H-1B cap-subject petitions and approximately 10,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption.

USCIS has informed that it will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until a sufficient number of H-1B petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits.
